Arithmetic & Necessity

The student observes the math equation, "62+31"... they perform the process which they were taught, to reach the end of the problem with the correct answer. Of course the answer is 93. Interestingly, to reach the end of the equation, no "steps" were added to the equation. The only information that was included was what was necessary to achieve the end goal, or answer.
If we can take a look at ourselves and the goal(s) that we want to reach, or accomplishments we would like to achieve, it may be helpful to take a mathematical approach. Decide the endpoint you're striving to reach(93), then decide what the proper equation is(X+X), use the instruments that you have to work the equation(62+31).
You'll note that nothing here is unnecessary. There are no distractive paths that take us to the final answer. After realizing what our ultimate goal is to achieve, we should include nothing that has the possibility of leading us astray from accomplishing our goals, whatever they may be. Just as crucial, and synonymous to the past sentence, we should only include what is necessary in our plan, or "equation".
To get from point A to B side streets must be omitted, there is too much potential to get lost or confused when trying to locate your destination. The equation doesn't read "62+31-15+9-6+20", of course the answer is the same, but there was much more effort involved in reaching the goal(93!). Deny distraction, focus on one goal or one piece of the equation in order to efficiently accomplish what YOU find to be necessary in this life.

Combat Control!
