Forgiveness
Forgiveness, in my opinion, plays a vital role the psyche. The power of forgiving people, and their actions is key for moving past and overcoming life's sometimes unfortunate surprises. I've touched on this previously, but I forgive peoples actions and judgement, which aren't always formed in a rational state of mind, or environment. Forgiveness is a very powerful practice, at times extremely difficult, not to mention that it isn't something that has to be completed in an instant. It's okay for the process to take as long as the individual needs, I believe that forgiveness has much to do with understanding. Understanding, what exactly happened to lead to a situation requiring forgiveness, and sometimes more importantly, why it happened; why the circumstances are what they are. I would like to say also, to remember to never overlook yourself. I believe that forgiving yourself for past actions or poor judgement, is just as crucial as forgiving another person. Honestly, if you can't forgive yourself, how can you expect anyone else to? As with another person, it's important to analyze the past, examine the environment and state of mind during your time of good judgement lapse. This would be a better more precise way of understanding what exactly happened, and why it happened. A mistake made can be progress, so long as something was learned.
