The Process of Fear

What is fear? Fear, is being scared or afraid of something. It could be a person, a crisis, a situation, a group of people, the loss of something or someone. Whatever fear an individual carries, I'm willing to place a bet that the fear they hold effects their decision's and perception of their world.
We are all products of our experience's in this life. So our fears are a result of events or happenings witnessed by us individually. These pivot points in our psyche can be recognized consciously or may be picked up by the sub-conscious, leaving us consciously unaware of the reason for a particular fear or uncomfortable sensation.
Fear, can be the culprit of self-restraint, it can also be used as a means by which someone or someone's control another person or persons. An easy example of this is, that many wouldn't rob a bank. The reasons may vary as to why not, I personally would like to think that the motive for not participating in this act is based on honesty. However, most people fear getting caught, but it's not getting caught that they actually fear, they really fear being caught, being tried, and going to prison and having years of their life taken away.
People realize they have a limited amount of time(I assume) on this planet. Most would rather not spend it in a concrete cell, confined to someone else's WILL. The underlying fact is that people, usually, fear death. Fear of death creates an incredible scenario that can be used, and very efficiently, as a tool against people to control the masses, or individual. Generally speaking most people are terrified of not being accepted by their neighbors and fellow humans. This can easily be proven by observing decades individually, even more specifically look how fashion trends change with the seasons alone, and people follow. I'm not pointing the finger, I'm just stating an observation, certain mechanisms in our society are triggers that are squeezed repeatedly, sometimes predictably, that influence control of the masses. I won't say that I'm sure if the trigger is pulled intentionally or not, but the fact that they are, is undeniable.
This example is harmless but useful as a form of explanation. Please let your mind wander and analyze "major" events in our society's history that have left permanent impressions on the psyche of those who witnessed them. Just to give a few hints(because my intention isn't to create any ideas for you to pursue, but for you to pursue your own thoughts and reach your own conclusion), observe gun laws, driving restrictions, airline security, metal detectors, "security" cameras, road blocks and checkpoints. In my opinion these are all ways to instill fear, and induce control on the people. I'll say no more about those examples, and let you decide.
One last observation about how quickly the psyche can recognize and react to fear, deals with interstate driving. Here's the scenario, you're driving southbound on the interstate, you notice all the traffic ahead of you begins braking, you can usually assume that there has either been an accident ahead or there is a police patrol car that has been seen, typically in the opposite, northbound, lane. There is no reason to brake, it's virtually impossible to be cited in this situation. But everyone still, reacting from instinct, instantly will recognize a threat of some kind.
I've reached the conclusion, that if I don't fear death, then I've essentially become fearless, death is the ultimate fear, although there are worse things in my opinion. Overcoming any other fear should prove to be a minimal task. With this accomplished, I've found myself to feel freedom in its purest form. Detachment from material life leads to fearlessness, which leads to true freedom.
Recognition of your fears is the first step in the process to abolish them. I think you learn a lot about yourself by acknowledging your true fears. Don't just recognize them, but ask why you possess them, then you can begin to understand why they are carried, and then you can work on confronting them and conquering them.
                                         ABOLISH FEAR, ESTABLISH TRUTH!
